My Awakening

It's been super hectic around here trying to keep up with my now THREE kids while my husband is working two jobs and working on his graduate thesis. Some days I don't even turn my Mac on, I'm ashamed to say. But when I can't get to Illustrator I try to satisfy my craving for creativity in my sketchbook. Here's some new doodles I posted last week on Facebook in case you haven't seen.

The Teacher's Prayer was my idea for a teacher's gift for my daughter's kindergarten graduation but I missed the deadline and never completed it. I will be finishing it and adding it to my shop in the near future. Will post pics when it's ready and maybe even somewhere in between. It will give me blogging motivation. =)

I have also been mulling around with some spiritual/inspirational doodles lately. I am going through what Buddhists call 'Enlightenment', otherwise known as a Spiritual Awakening. I'm Catholic...but I am realizing that there is so much more to God than religion. Everyone on this planet is connected...everything is connected to everyone. We are all (as imperfect as we think we may be) perfect and loved in the eyes of our Creator. If we could all just LOVE each other and every living thing on this planet..and FORGIVE and find PEACE within ourselves we could make the world a much better place. I know a lot of people going through the same at the moment. Pretty amazing. My perspective on life and love and forgiveness and my purpose here has completely changed and I am much better for it. What the world needs now is Love, sweet Love. And I am filled to the brim with it and want to share it with everyone I meet! You should too.
